Homemade Coffee Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream

  • 1 cup Whole Milk

  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 1/4 cup Finely Ground Coffee Grounds (we recommend our Colombian beans!)

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • Pinch of Salt

    Instructions:

    1. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, ground coffee beans, vanilla extract, and salt.

    2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

    3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes to infuse the flavors of the coffee.

    4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the coffee grounds.

    5. Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

    6. Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until thick and creamy.

    7. Transfer the churned ice cream to a container and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours until firm.

    8. Serve scoops of homemade coffee ice cream in bowls or cones, and enjoy the rich, creamy flavor with a hint of caffeine.
